Party for National Recovery
The Party for National Recovery ((フランス語:Parti pour le Redressement National), PARENA) is a political party in Burundi.
==History==
Formed in May 1994,〔(Burundi: Registered parties 2010 ) EISA〕 PARENA is led by former President Jean-Baptiste Bagaza and draws most of its support from the ethnic Tutsi minority.
In the June 2005 local elections the party received 2.3% of the vote, winning 75 of the 3,225 seats on local councils.〔(Burundi: 2005 Communal election results ) EISA〕 The party received 1.7% of the vote in the July 2005 parliamentary elections, but failed to win a seat.〔(Elections in Burundi ) African Elections Database〕
